Q & A
Q: My laser printer squeaks loudly when I print
A: Most modern toner cartridges are powered by a Mouse Activated Drive (MAD). Occasionally the MAD Unit becomes misaligned
allowing the mouse to escape from it's sealed housing inside the toner cartridge. When this happens, the mouse can become trapped between the
drum and the plastic housing and may emit a loud squeaking noise when
you try to print. If this is the case, your LASER (Loud Angry Squeaking
Emitted by Rodent) printer cartridge is damaged beyond repair and must be replaced with a new one. Please throw away or recycle your squeaky cartridge.
